Hello,
at first sorry for my english.
I´m a german guy and my english is so bad.
I have a problem with my memory card adapter in my vgn-fe11m.
I have two cards, 512mb and 1gb memory.
The 512mb card is useable in the adapter.
I can read and write.
The 1gb card does not run.
Windows say that there no drive is insert.
If i use an external card reader, it`s going.
Also in my pocket pc.
But why does it not going in the sony memory card reader ?
O god, i hope anyone can read my bad english 😞
Don't be so hard on yourself, your English isn't bad at all.
The thing that struck me is that maybe the 512MB card is a duo, and the other card is a pro duo? Have you checked www.vaio-link.com for a memory stick reader firmware?
Duo ? Pro Duo ?
There are no infos on the cards.
I don`t find anything about the card adapter on the sony site.
No firmware, no driver.
Hi Majjo,
Welcome to Club Vaio,
This guide from the Memorystick support site may help explain the different media types...:smileyhappy:
I think that you don`t understand me correct.
I don`t have problems with memory sticks.
I have problems with sd card.
Secure Disk.
I don't think it reads SD cards
Hi Majjo,
I assume that you are referring to either the ExpressCard/34 slot or the PC Card slot and the Memory card adaptor that is supplied with your model? This should be able to read SD cards up to 2 GB in size.
There are FlashMedia drivers in the Pre-Installed drivers for your model (Vaio-Link drivers and downloads section). There is also an FMPatch_V010.exe in the FlashMediaSetting folder, but I am afraid that there is no guidance as to what this is.
Maybe Sony Support will be able to help?
