VGNA-317S

Hi,

My 'only one week old' 317S is not getting POWER ON.
It was perfect yesterday, but I can'r bring it up today.
I haved already checked:
AC Power source OK
Reinserted battery etc..
Left it without battery in it for few hours.

I am suspecting maybe something is wrong with mainboard or there are CPU overheating issues ..

I am very much diappointed after reading

Are other VAIO (particularly A Series) users facing similar problems or have faced in the past ?

What should be done next ?

Hi i am using the same series/model since feb. and so far its been wonderful (touches wood).
I dont think there is overheating issues on a317s.
Did you put it on the docking station? had you try unplug everything?

Btw you should call vaio-link asap about this matter.

Take it to the retailer you bought it from, and get a replacement.

Yes, I did put it on docking station after finishing my work for that day.

This is what I generally do.
Am I missing something ...

had you try to connect the power supply straight the to laptop without the docking?
