VGS-V2S Bios

Hi peeps. I'm new to the community, so you may have to bare with me.

Basically I've got a VGC-V2S all-in-one pc with a nasty fault. I've tried to update the bios, I thought all had gone well until the system was restarted. Now all the colours on the screen have gone funny, it's as if it's running in 16 colour mode almost.

Has anyone got any good advice at all please as it would be greatly appreciated.

Even an original bios image would be great.

Thanks in advance

Which BIOS Version did you try to install?

I'm not sure if there are any 'roll-back' versions available.  Is it just the screen giving problems? If so have you tried reinstalling the nVidia Video Driver?

If all else fails it may be worth chatting the problem through with one of Sony's Service Partners to see if they can recommend a way forward.

Hi, I updated using the 2003v2 bios. The picture seems too bright and the colours are all over the place.

I'm sure the original bios image will cure the problem... I've spoken to vaio support and they were unable to help as I've lost the serial number. They said if I went into the bios it would be there, but there isn't even a serial there.

Thanks

Have a look in Control Panel -> Vaio Control Centre -> System

The Serial Number should be shown there.
