Hi,
Sorry about hitting you guys with lots of Qs. I am new to laptops.
I am not able to view full screen videos on my LCD.
All I get is a rectangular wide screen and does not cover the entire screen.
Is there any settings that need to be done. When I play the same videos with full screen on my desktop it covers the entire monitor.
I checked the Nvidia Control Panel/ display but couldn't find anything different.
Can someone throw some light on this.
Regards
Giri
Hi giridhar_pn,
Which software are you using to view the videos (DVD I assume)? Is this via the in-built notebook LCD screen or an external?
If via WMP or similar have you selected the “full screen” option?
What happens if you double click on the screen when in play mode?
Hi,
This is the in-built LCD. I tired WM player and also real player but both have the same effect.
Of coz, i did select the full screen mode. Still, I get a type 'Cinemascope' screen.
could it be the dvd itself and not the laptop.Lots of dvd's are presented in anamorphic widescreen which sometimes gives the letterbox look.
Also, did your vaio come with sonic software.I use sonic cieplayer and it seems to work fine by using the whole screen.
You could use 16:9 zoom, but you do loose a few lines
