After upgrading my VAIO VPCS11X9E to Window 8 (yes I know that Sony does not support it) everything works fine except for the built in 3G-modem. As far as I understand the problem lies in the lack of a Qualcom Gobi 2000 driver for Win8. Any hope that Sony would release anything of the kind or is it time to get a Mac?
