Do you have the Vaio which the serial number belongs to.?

If so you should be able to locate the model number on the bottom right of the screen surround..

Hi 555guy,

Assuming that the machine is working then the model name should be listed in both Vaio Control Center (under system information) and the BIOS.

I don't suppose you'd know where to get a service manual for it ? its a VGN-AR71J ??? I need to replace the VGA cable but can't figure out how to removed the old one ???
