Hey, I recently upgraded my VGN-NS30E from vista to 7 and I love it. However I have lost a lot of the pre-installed software (which I understand may not function on 7) and also the use of the AV button. I have installed all the available updates and when I try to use musicbox, for example, it won't find any music and when I attempt to select the defult folder it claims "VAIO content settings folder not installed". where can I find this update for win 7, or does it even exist? Thanks
Hi jl611 and welcome.
Have you purchased an UPGRADE in place version of Windows 7 or have you made a clean install of a FULL version of Windows 7?
Unless you have done an UPGRADE, you will lose all the preinstalled software as a clean install formats the drive. Most preinstalled software cannot be downloaded.
There are some Windows 7 specific updates available for download here: -

Hi, thanks for your response. I used the free upgrade from vista to 7 that was on offer when a new computer was brought. I still have most of the original software, however theres a few original functions of the laptop which aren't functioning, such as the AV button and some of VAIO's power management functions, along with vaio musicbox refusing to find any music. Thanks for your help
