Which battery should I buy for my old vaio VGN-NR21S?

Hello.

I need a replacement battery for my laptop.

My vaio VGN-NR21S came with a VGP-BPS9/B battery, which no longer works.

This battery model is not displayed in the online shop. Probably is no longer sold.

How can I find out which of the recent battery models are compatible with my laptop model?

Hi Ian,

Batteries for your model are still available even though not direct from Sony.

A Google will provide plenty of hits but make sure you are buying a genuine battery and not a cheap imitation...

That is right. I bought my spare battery from a computer/technical shop where they sell batteries for different laptops. I am just not sure if the battery is genuine or not. But it works until now.
