Windows 8 Sony picture Utility 2.0

Where can I get the original sony picture utility to download from as I downloaded the uodate but it will not install as it was initially removed following uodate to windows 8.

Not suppoerted by sony VGN-NW20EF/S need software to use webcab as well cannot see it with original software where is it?

Hi Pamela,

Unfortunately you have jumped the gun by installing Windows 8 before Sony has realeased any drivers or utilities for this model.

Another complication would seem to be that you have carried out a clean install (as opposed to an in place upgrade) and have therefore lost all the pre-installed software. A lot of this software is not available for download and as you have discovered only updates are available on the Support site.

The camera would have used a native Windows driver and for Windows 8 to recognise the hardware a firmware upgrade may be necessary. Whether this will eventually be provided for this model I have no idea.

If you need a fully functioning machine I suggest that you revert to Windows 7 using your recovery disks or the hard drive recovery utility (if it still exists) and wait for Sony to provide compatible drivers, firmware upgrades and utilities.
