I used Windows Easy Transfer and a network cable to transfer my daughter’s files from her old (XP) PC to a new (Windows 7) Vaio – as suggested by the Vaio file transfer tool. I was not prompted to choose what came over so the whole user account was transferred. When it was complete it had changed her screen saver etc. However when she came to login neither her new nor old passwords worked. Luckily I have an admin account on the new laptop, but when I logged in and reset her password it still says the password is incorrect! Only when we remove a password from her account altogether can she log in. Can anyone please explain to me what I need to do to set an operational password on my daughter's admin account and fix this issue? Thanks
