Hello,
I have a wireless LAN at home, it works fine (i use my office laptop a lot at home, so i know WLAN works ok).
However, on installing 3com wireless LAN USB adaptor/driver on my RZ424, whilst it also works fine, when I turn off the pc and reboot, message comes up "wireless LAN unavailable". So for some reason it appears the pc is not saving the config??
My workaround is to leave the pc in permanent standby mode.........but if anyone has any ideas as to why I lose connectivity when I shut down, I would be v grateful.
Thanks,
Jules
Are you using WEP ecnryption?
Best thing to do is to set it up so it all works, then reboot the PC. Now go in and look at the settings. If they have gone back to default, there may be something like a save option in the settings. I have seen this before. So, set all the settings and then look for a SAVE button. If there isn't one the settings reset every time you reboot, look on the 3 Com website for updated drivers. If there aren't any, try uninstalling the device and then reinstalling it.
