XL 301 no sound -

Hi all,

Has an yone experienced problems with no sound because Vista says "no audio device installed". I checked my device manager and there are 3 audio cards all working ok! I have checked for new drivers but Windows says latest driver is installed. Connected to a bravia kdl40w2000 via HDMI cable, (it's not the volume turned down either) Can anyone help me please, I am getting really hacked off with this new machine it seems to be one issue after another is it Vista or the XL301?

I'm not sure about the 301 but on the 201 you also need a special audio service to be active. This is installed automatically if you run the driver setup application supplied by Sony. But if you have just browsed to the driver folder or obtained them elsewhere this might not be in place.
