Z series on Windows 7 keeps freezing

I would appreciate some help here

I have a new Vaio VGN-Z5 running windows 7
It is freezing 3 or 4 times a day, by this I mean I get the blue donut and can no longer make the laptop do anything – my only option is to turn the laptop off and start again
I can still move the cursor around and even click the x to close a program, but nothing happens, I cannot start task manager

It mainly seems to happen when opening outlook messages or after a web page is slow to load – no firm pattern though

If anyone has similar problems I would appreciate hearing from you

Hi RedGBarn and welcome.

What version of Outlook are you using? Outlook Express is incompatible with Windows 7 and there are also issues with any Outlook before the 2003 edition.

Have you tried looking in the error logs in Computer Management? Is there a message on the blue screen?
