Dear All, I am new to this place. Hope you can help me. I took my car to Ford Dealer in Malta (where I live) and asked for the car to be checked and serviced. Taking it to the dealership I was happily listening to DAB radio in my car. When I collected it the car did not have DAB reception anymore. I can see DAB on the side of the screen but the rest of the screen was blank. I told the Dealer but they refused to take responsibility. After much arguments they kind of took responsibility but said that it must have been the latest update that removed the DAB software from my stereo !
It is ibvious that they have no idea what they are doing. Can anyone help me find a way to update the car stereo myself ? Maybe I can buy the software update ? I really wish to have my stereo back to working order. The car stereo is a SONY SYNC V.1 with gps.
Thank you.
Hi there,
Hopefully one of the community members will be able to help.
Best wishes,

Hi Chris,
It's quite possible that a simple reset or re-tuning of the DAB stations could fix this but the model description you mentioned doesn't really correspond to a specific model number that lets us know which device you have. Could you check if there are some letters printed on the system or if there is an about section in the menu that lists the model number.

Yes of course .... the stereo is a Sony RADIO AHU DAB Part Number BM5T-18C815-XG
I need the ACTUAL software for it. Thanks in advance for any help.
Hi Chris,
I tried looking this up but all leads point back to Ford. I think you should get back to them and have them look into this for you.
