NWZ-F886 battery stamina mode

Is it possible for the Sony engineers to create a firmware update that uses the excellent battery stamina mode from the Xperia line of phones to the NWZ-F886.  It would save battery life enormously.  I am of the understanding that the battery stamina function simply closes down certain apps to maintain the battery life so will this function be ported across to the Walkman range (Android models only obviously)?

Thats certainly an idea, although in your Walkman's case it already has a 32 hour playback life,

(26 hours if listening to high-resolution audio), which seems great already :smileythumbsup:, so based on that I'm not sure if they will bother but you never know.
