At first, I had Clear Audio+ turned on as recommended by Sony and this produces a nice sound. However, the vocals were pushed back slightly so I experimented with the EQ settings to see if I could improve it - and I think I have!
If you go into the Sound Settings (EQ), you can define your own custom EQ. The settings below give a much nicer sound, in my opinion, than the Clear Audio+ settings.
They are as follows (left to right)
+3 +2 0 +2 +2 +3
The two +2's bring the vocal range up a bit.
Adjust to taste but pretty good to my ears!
Test by setting the EQ 'on' to your Custom mode amended above (you will need to turn Clear Audio+ Off, first).
Then toggle Clear Audio+ on and off whilst a track is playing. When 'off', it will revert to EQ settings so you can make your own mind up!
