Sony NWZ-W273 one earphone off,not possible to fix!

hello,

I have this problem where one earphone of the mp3 doesn't work properly(extremely low volume compared to the other).

I was struggling to manage with one earphone but it doesn't work.

I went for a repair and they said that I have to buy a new one.

yes I am outisde the gurantee but still I demand somehow to fix it and not throw it away.

It was not my fault it has this effection(I mean it's not cause by a hit) but it happened gradually.

I live in Athens,Greece but as I saw in the website there is no forum there.

What should I do?

Is there any guide on how to open the mp3 and fix it my own?

Hello my friend.
I had the exactly same problem with my device w273. I opened my unit and I was able to reach the defective part, the speaker. But, unfortunately I broke the contact to power the unit.
You can open your unit, by your own risk. The speaker unit was not made to be fixed, that part that you fit in your ear need to be hard opened with a thin tool and you can reach the speaker.
If you want I can provide a more detailed steps.
