Hi new member here....
I've got an IC hand held recorder ICD-AX412F that I'm having problems with trying to record from a digital piano. I've put both jack plugs in, one into the OUT on the piano and the other into the red mike socket at the top but it comes out very distorted. Then without the jack plugs with the recorder beside it which is clearer.
Is there something else I need to do first or....?
Thanks

Hi there
You need to set the "Select Input" to "Audio IN" instead of "Mic in".
See page 47 of the instructions : HERE

Ah great thanks not used the recorder for this before.
Had a really hard time trying to use Audacity on Win 10 for ages finally them saying something about removing enhancements at which point I gave up. Then slowly the light dawned to see if my recorder which I've had for ages might work which fortunately it does !
One other thing has occasionally crossed my mind as I also use Dragon Speech Dictate a lot. As a writer I first use the recorder for getting first ideas and thoughts in place before having to then laboriously type them into Word listening through earphones. Is there any way that the spoken text in the recorder could somehow be understood by Dragon Dictate to avoid the weary slog of my existing method of getting it into Word ?
Thanks again....
Hi there
Im unsure on what version of Dragon Dictate you have, but it seems that "Dragon Professional Individual v15" includes transcribing features from audio files. I believe other versions have also included this feature, but it seems only on the Pro versions.
Have a look at:
