WF-1000x headphones - They do not hold charge, they constantly cut out - seem like a bad prototype

Does anyone have any experience with these headphones?

They do not hold charge, they constantly cut out.

I bought mine last week, and am now travelling abroad so cannot take them back for a few months.

They will not retain a charge for more than 15 minutes maximum and the right ear cuts out constantly, weather set to best stability or best sound, makes no difference.

These feel like a very poor prototype rather than something I just paid €200 for.

I have updated the firmware, but nothing seems to make any difference.

I've only just joined this community to you may well have resolved it or replaced them by now. From experience they're pretty good. I've had mine for about 2 years. The listening time has gone down a bit in that time. Maybe from 2.5 hours to about 1.5 hours, but that's the joys of batteries. There's a bit of a trick to keeping them charged. I tend to drop them into the case when I'm not using them at any opportunity and also keep the case charged. If the case isn't charged then you can get caught out. I'm guessing that's not the issue based on your message. Try ensuring everying is fully charged and then let them charge for a few hours while connected to a wall socket. If that doesn't fix then it sounds like you have an issue so recommend getting a replacement.
