WF-1000X LED Notification

Is there any way that the LED Notification light can be turned off for the WF-1000X headphones?

It is of no use whatsoever as the user cannot see the LED's whilst wearing the headphones.

However, if i receive a text or whatsapp message, etc. they then start flashing blue, meaning i'm then walking around with flashing headphones without realising, and looking a little silly!

Many thanks,

Hi there,

Hopefully a community member will be able to help.

Have you updated to the latest firmware in the meantime.

Best wishes,

M

Hi Nick141,

Welcome to our community!

I looked that up for you but unfortunately, there's no way of turning off the notifications LED.

Cheers,

Thanks, it is all updated to the latest firmware.

Unfortunately using an android device there is always one notification or another on the phone so it seems to be constantly on!

is there scope to put this option / or remove the notification in an upcoming firmware update?

thanks,

+1 for this. Also, at the same time, an option to turn off the chime sound effect on notification too... It's really annoying, especially when my watch vibrates, and my phone vibrates!

It does make them look even more intrusive that they already are. With headphones like the new Samsung ear buds coming out soon which are almost completely in ear, feature the ambient sound elements (but not the rather weak noise cancelling) then it does make me want to jump. Plus the Google Assistant feature that recently got turned on makes no sense compared to how it works on the WH1000M3s where it links in fully with messages coming through etc. Hopefully the next version of these will take it to the next level and remove these weird gimmicks.
