WH-1000XM3 firmware 4.1.1 issue...

Hello..? Sony..? Can you please inform us regarding the noise cancelling/battery issues after updating to firmware 4.1.1..? Will this be resolved anytime soon, or can you let us rollback to a previous firmware..? We like silence, yes, but your silence on this issue is definitely unwanted.

Hi @mik395,

I would like to inform you that Sony is aware of the reduced battery life issue post the latest firmware update and has conducted an investigation on the root cause.

The introduction of support for Amazon Alexa in the latest firmware update has added an additional process workload on the device. As such, if you do not use any of the voice guidance features of your headphone, I would recommend you switch off this feature via the “Sony | Headphones connect” app. As of the moment this seems unfortunately the only workaround to maintain your battery life. Unless there will be an option in a future firmware release to disable the Alexa assistant function.

Cheers,
