Post April Update No Custom ID for Inputs

If its already been reported I'm sorry but I coundn't find it.

Since the latest update I've found a new problem which wasn't there before.

If you wish the rename the various inputs to any of the preset ID's, DVD, Cable etc they still work but if you want to use a custom ID such as Sky then it doesn't.

Any one else have this?

TV is a 55X8005C.

Hi therr

No its not reported.

I have just tested mine.  I can add a custom label.  However it adds the HDMI number to the front. For example:

Original Label: HDMI 4 / ARC

Renamed to: AV R

New Label: HDMI 4 / ARC AV R

Is this what your meaning?

Cheers

Yes.

Its the AV R in your example. What ever I type it does not appear.

This TV was bought during the Amazon Black Friday sales, how many updates have we had since then? I now have more faults, or as Microsoft would call them "features" than it had on the day I got it! What a damming indictment of Sony's Firmware programmers.

That's interesting.

Ive just updated my KD-49X83, and the HDMI input labels haven't changed at all.

Neither did mine until I did a restore back to factory settings which I had to do as the TV was basically unusable after the update.

I can hide them, change them to the preset names but can't input my own names using the on screen keyboard.

Only received my set last Friday. I can't back space out the HDMI letters to input what I want it to say. Not the end of the world, but annoying.

49x8005c updated firmware when I received it.
