WF-1000XM3 - pairing problems

I want to use the WF-1000XM3 to listen to my Sony Bravia TV via a Taotronics TT BA09 Pro wireless adapter.  I am having problems pairing.  My question is – what can I do to identify the reason?
As you will know the WF-1000XM3 does not have a ‘pairing button’ and I presume (?) the flashing blue light indicates that the XM3 is searching for a device to pair with – i.e. I don’t need to do anything / press anything to switch on it’s pairing mode?
The Taotronics TT BA09 Pro does have a pairing button and pressing this button brings on a red flashing light at A but a codex light never lights up (not paired (?))!

Any tips on what to do to narrow down to reason for failing?

The last reply from Sony on this question (for thos that might read it in the future( is  . . . .  there is no device that will make my Sony KDL-24EX320 bluetooth enabled i.e. a device has not been invented that can do that or that model of TV cannot be enabled to do that.  I find that difficult to believe but I give up

Hi,

To enter the pairing mode on the XM3 you have to press and hold the power button when the device is turned off.

If pairing mode has been enabled it will be confirmed by the headphone saying "Pairing".

Cheers

Where is / what is the 'power button'?

You can check out the pairing process in the Help Guide, the link shows pairing with Android, but going into pairing mode is universal.

I want to use the WF-1000XM3 to listen to my Sony Bravia TV.  Having failed to get them to pair with the Taotronics TT BA09 Pro wireless adapter I have given up forming the view that the two devices are not compatible.

Questions:

1.  Does Sony make a bluetooth wireless adapter to fit into my TV and pair up with my XM3's?

2.  Does anyone know of a other bluetooth wireless adapter to fit into my TV that WILL pair up with my XM3's?

Hi @Forty_Two   Unless I have missed it, you haven’t told us which model of TV you have?

The bedroom TV is a Sony KDL 24E X320.
Clearly it is a few years old and I didn't expect it would have bluetooth built in but I was surprised to find that it had an optical socket i.e. it was built with some options.

If Sony does not make a bluetooth wireless adapter to fit into my TV and pair up with my XM3's and the XM3's are not compatible with any other TV bluetooth wireless adapter, does Sony produce a small bedroom TV that has bluetooth that will pair with the XM3's?

Does Sony have a telephone number or direct email address where I can ask these questions?

I don't think they make Bluetooth adapters, but not sure about the small form factor TVs but you can reach out to the Sony support reps using their Contact us page.

That said, I've seen Creative mentioned as a good BT adapter/transmitter brand on here a couple of times. Try searching for it here or for their reviews (Google and YouTube).

Hope this helps!

I contacted Sony Support with 3 questions:

Sony Support Email 22074763 [case:22074763][email:357498312]

1. Does Sony make a TV wireless adapter?

2. Which third party TV adapters are compatible with my XM3's

3.  Does Sony make a small TV with built in Bluetooth.

Replies I got were:

1.  No

2.  No reply

3.  A link to all Sony TV's with no way of 'filtering' the search to list those with built in Bluetooth.

Completely useless.

I am bitterly regretting buying the XM3's and this experience will make me think twice in the future if I ever think about buying any other Sony device.
