Anybody experiencing problems with the camera app on the Xperia XC?
When I put the camera on my XC on manual mode with the ISO also on manual the screen flickers in a way like when you take a picture from your tv screen with a slow shutterspeed. The photo just taken gives the same result. It happens in every ISO setting from 50 to 3200. It doesn't matter if the camera is on 20mp or 8mp or whatever. When the ISO setting is on automatic the problem disappears.
For me the manual mode is useless like this.
Camera app version is 2.0.0

Hi @Hekkie, sorry to hear this.
If I understood this correctly the flicker is also visible when you've taken a picture? Could you send me a picture where this is visible in a PM and include the camera settings that were used?
If it's possible for you to also send a bug report I'd appreciate that as well.
To do this:
- Go to Settings > About phone > Build number, tap 7 times on the build number.
- Go back and select Developer options then turn on "USB debugging".
- Select Logger buffer size and change it to "4 M"
- Restart your phone, then replicate this
- Go back to Settings > Developer options, select "Take bug report".
When the report is ready you will receive a notification. Tap the notification to share it. I suggest you upload it to Google Drive and then choose to share a public link to the upload and include the link in the PM.
Thanks!

When I change the shutterspeed the app sets the ISO back to Automatic. That's strange in my opinion. So far for "manual". I think it's about the same problem XA Ultra users have. Recently they received an update to fix a camera problem with ISO when using manual.

I m not an expert, so I did a test to understand better what the problem was supposed to be. I took a couple of pictures (please don't judge the content :smileytongue:):
Automatic:
Manual - ISO 400:
The latter seems fine to me. But I did notice some flickering when selecting ISO 50. I didn't take a picture because it was too dark anyway.

Meanwhile I've set the phone back to the initial settings because I ran in some other problems like errors etc. After the reset the camera works perfect. In manual and with the ISO value in any position. Don't know what the problem was but the reset did the trick.
Thank's anyway.
