Bluetooth Pairing does not work

I have tried pairing with iOS and then Hands free on my vehicle. Neither works. I tried turning on Bluetooth tethering and started seeing a flicker of recognition on the iphone but no pairing with iOS. The vehicle will not pair. It will pair with a blackberry phone.

Had the same problem with the bluetooth pairing to my Mazda cx9- several attempts with no luck.  Tried the change of passcode to 0000 and it worked!  Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm having the same problem with my Lexus RX400h. I tried changing the car's PIN to 0000 but sadly that did not seem to work ...
