Is it okay if service centre doesn't give you the service job sheet number after submitting your phone for repair and instead give you some stupid reason after asking for it?
Does replacement of motherboard also replaces the back camera? Is it attached to it?
I'm sorry but this is a global user based forum, you have to contact your Local support regarding those questions.
JW, what reason they gave you?
@uliwooly
When you submit a phone for repair in your local service centre, they give you a receipt (service job sheet) which contains a "work order number" or "job sheet number." So is it okay if service centre doesn't give it to you?
When i purchased my phone, i ordered a lamination protection for both backside and front and a back cover. So scratches on my phone is not possible, plus it's my secondary phone and always lies on the table.
So i got the call from service centre on jan 29 that my phone is ready for pickup after being repaired. When i picked the device i was shocked. The condition of the device was so bad that i had a feeling that this can't be my device. The metallic sides were scratched so bad (very deep scratches) and the entire back panel had deep scratches and it had marks of fingers like the device was being used without back cover or any protection for very long. The same case was with camera lens, it was badly scratched as well.
When enquired about the bad condition, we had an argument which after he changed the metallic sides and said that that they don't have back panel available rightnow and agreed to get it fixed. When i told about the camera lens, his response was very stupid, he told me that "camera lens doesn't come in warranty" what warranty he was talking about. He was responsible for the bad condition and now he was talking about the warranty. So he refused to replace the camera lens.
After leaving service centre, i noticed that my camera button was also damaged with deep scratches like someone had peeled the side of it with some kind of blade.
When i reached home i tried to insert the sim card and when i pulled the sim tray (simcard holder), it was cracked on one side and was bended. The thing that shocked me was that this wasn't the simtray my phone had, because my simtray had a little mark on it, which it didn't have. So the thing is that this phone isn't mine, the service centre replaced my phone with the old one.
It's 38 km's distance from my home to your pathetic service centre and i don't get time to go there again and again as my exams are near. So there is only one option for you to refund my money or the CONSUMER COURT is far nearer to my house than your service centre and i know what i have to do next.
Another thing escalated in my case here. When i submitted my handset in service centre, they didn't gave me the "service job sheet number" (after researching about it, it's given to everyone who submits his/her phone to service centre). So when asked about the service job sheet number, they gave me stupid reasons about it, which makes it more obvious that they replaced my phone with old one.
The guy at service centre informed me to get back cover replaced as it arrived today and after reaching there, i told him to pull off the back cover in front of me (i had already watched a video "how to dessemble xa" on YouTube). So when he pulled the back cover off, i saw there was no "SEAL" (probably protection seal) on the MOTHERBOARD, which is applied on the motherboard and on the edge of battery and i was shocked to see the "DENTS" on the motherboard and on a brown connector, it looked old to me. (Here I'm showing you the picture of it, which i took there). When i enquired about the dents, he told me that "IT'S NORMAL TO GET DENTS ON MOTHERBOARD IF IT'S BEING REPLACED". That's rediculous and doesn't that mean sony service centre just tricked me?
I see nobody is responding me here.
So after much research, the HEAT REDUCING COPPER LAYER is not present there, plus there are DENTS and board is looking old (if they replaced the board, why is it having REPAIR TRACES?). This gives more clearence to my case that they replaced my device with old one.
PS: From 2 to 3 days I started experiencing STUTTERS (LAGS) while scrolling webpages and viewing photos, which was definitely not there before. The screen sometimes goes wild (ghost touch) during calls, but not always it just happened 2 or 3 times. But the lag is very annoying.
After many emails, calls and visiting service centre again and again, NOBODY IS READY TO HELP ME, NEITHER SONY NOR SERVICE CENTRE. So now I'm going to take legal action. Tomorrow I'll file a complaint against Sony and service centre.
I have been a sony fan since walkman days and always suggested sony to my family and friends. But you completely lost me sony. I will never buy another sony again.

I've visited the local service centre many times, they're just giving pointless excuses and they're not ready to give me the REPAIR STATUS (Repair Record) which i know they don't have because my device wasn't repaired, they just replaced it with old and faulty one.
It feels really bad that i have been a loyal sony fan and now they tricked me.
Thank you SONY
