Job sheet number not given

Is it okay if service centre doesn't give you the service job sheet number after submitting your phone for repair and instead give you some stupid reason after asking for it?

Does replacement of motherboard also replaces the back camera? Is it attached to it?

I'm sorry but this is a global user based forum, you have to contact your Local support regarding those questions.

JW, what reason they gave you?

@uliwooly

When you submit a phone for repair in your local service centre, they give you a receipt (service job sheet) which contains a "work order number" or "job sheet number." So is it okay if service centre doesn't give it to you?

When i purchased my phone, i ordered a lamination protection for both backside and front and a back cover. So scratches on my phone is not possible, plus it's my secondary phone and always lies on the table.

So i got the call from service centre on jan 29 that my phone is ready for pickup after being repaired. When i picked the device i was shocked. The condition of the device was so bad that i had a feeling that this can't be my device. The metallic sides were scratched so bad (very deep scratches) and the entire back panel had deep scratches and it had marks of fingers like the device was being used without back cover or any protection for very long. The same case was with camera lens, it was badly scratched as well.
When enquired about the bad condition, we had an argument which after he changed the metallic sides and said that that they don't have back panel available rightnow and agreed to get it fixed. When i told about the camera lens, his response was very stupid, he told me that "camera lens doesn't come in warranty" what warranty he was talking about. He was responsible for the bad condition and now he was talking about the warranty. So he refused to replace the camera lens.
After leaving service centre, i noticed that my camera button was also damaged with deep scratches like someone had peeled the side of it with some kind of blade.
When i reached home i tried to insert the sim card and when i pulled the sim tray (simcard holder), it was cracked on one side and was bended. The thing that shocked me was that this wasn't the simtray my phone had, because my simtray had a little mark on it, which it didn't have. So the thing is that this phone isn't mine, the service centre replaced my phone with the old one.

It's 38 km's distance from my home to your pathetic service centre and i don't get time to go there again and again as my exams are near. So there is only one option for you to refund my money or the CONSUMER COURT is far nearer to my house than your service centre and i know what i have to do next.

Another thing escalated in my case here. When i submitted my handset in service centre, they didn't gave me the "service job sheet number" (after researching about it, it's given to everyone who submits his/her phone to service centre). So when asked about the service job sheet number, they gave me stupid reasons about it, which makes it more obvious that they replaced my phone with old one.

The guy at service centre informed me to get back cover replaced as it arrived today and after reaching there, i told him to pull off the back cover in front of me (i had already watched a video "how to dessemble xa" on YouTube). So when he pulled the back cover off, i saw there was no "SEAL" (probably protection seal)  on the MOTHERBOARD, which is applied on the motherboard and on the edge of battery and i was shocked to see the "DENTS" on the motherboard and on a brown connector, it looked old to me. (Here I'm showing you the picture of it, which i took there). When i enquired about the dents, he told me that "IT'S NORMAL TO GET DENTS ON MOTHERBOARD IF IT'S BEING REPLACED". That's rediculous and doesn't that mean sony service centre just tricked me? _20180201_200352.JPG

I see nobody is responding me here.

So after much research, the HEAT REDUCING COPPER LAYER is not present there, plus there are DENTS and board is looking old (if they replaced the board, why is it having REPAIR TRACES?). This gives more clearence to my case that they replaced my device with old one.

PS: From 2 to 3 days I started experiencing STUTTERS (LAGS) while scrolling webpages and viewing photos, which was definitely not there before. The screen sometimes goes wild (ghost touch) during calls, but not always it just happened 2 or 3 times. But the lag is very annoying.

After many emails, calls and visiting service centre again and again, NOBODY IS READY TO HELP ME, NEITHER SONY NOR SERVICE CENTRE. So now I'm going to take legal action. Tomorrow I'll file a complaint against Sony and service centre.

I have been a sony fan since walkman days and always suggested sony to my family and friends. But you completely lost me sony. I will never buy another sony again.

I've visited the local service centre many times, they're just giving pointless excuses and they're not ready to give me the REPAIR STATUS (Repair Record) which i know they don't have because my device wasn't repaired, they just replaced it with old and faulty one.

It feels really bad that i have been a loyal sony fan and now they tricked me.

Thank you SONY_20180204_200622.JPG

Same thing happened to me. Local Sony Service Centre duped me, replaced my phone with old and faulty one and with different IMEI number. Now he's not ready to replace it.

Here's my story.
My Xa dual (F3116) had a very tiny dead/stuck pixel on the right side of the nav keys which was only visible on white background. There was almost a week left to my warranty, so i visited local sony service centre at (Abi Guzar, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir named as Ohi Enterprises) on 17th of January, where they told me that they will check the device and see if they could replace the screen. They gave me receipt but it didn't mentioned the "Job Sheet Number" (as it was my first time to submit a phone in sony service centre, so i wasn't familiar about it) and they told me that it would take a week. After the week passed, i directly called the Customer Care to check the status of my device and they asked for the "Job Sheet Number" which was not given to me, so the Customer Care told me to contact local service centre to get the number. So after calling service centre, i asked for Job Sheet Number, but they said that "The Job Sheet Number Is Not Being Generated For Everyone" which after researching, it was a lame excuse.

So i got the call from service centre on jan 29 that my phone is ready to pick. When i enquired what was the problem? They said, " The Display Has Been Replaced". When they gave me the device i was shocked. When enquired about the bad condition, we had an argument, after which he changed the metallic sides and said that they don't have back panel and camera lens available right now and agreed to get it it fixed. When i reached home i tried to insert the sim cardand when i pulled the sim tray (simcard holder), it was cracked. The thing that shocked me was that this wasn't the simtray my phone had, because my simtray had a little mark on it, which it didn't had. "Then I Checked The Imei Number, It Was Also Different, My Device Had a Different Imei Number. When Enquired About It They Told The Motherboard And Charging Port Has Also Been Changed. This Was The Lamest Excuse I Had Ever Heard. I Understand Why Screen Was Being Replaced, But Why The Heck Was Motherboard Replaced?

On Feb 2nd, The guy at service centre informed me to get backcover replaced as it arrived today and after reaching there, i told him to pull off the back cover in front of me (i had already watched a video "how to dessemble xa" on YouTube). So when he pulled the back cover off, i saw there was no "Copper Layer On Board" which is supposed to reduce heat from chips and i was shocked to see the "Dents" on the motherboard, the question is If They Replaced The Motherboard With New One Why Does It Has Repair Traces?

From 2 to 3 Days My Device Is Stuttering (Lagging) and the screen is flickering and the device gets too hot when stamina mode is off.

After emails, calls and visiting service centre again and again (even though it's around 40 KMs away from my home), neither sony nor service centre is ready to resolve the issue.
