Blank screen

Have just upgraded X10 to 2.1. Now the screen blacks out, sometimes for several minutes at a time after the call number is entered and the call button is pressed. Hence if no answer, the call can not be stopped and goes to message bank. Screen remains blank even if the menu button is pressed. The phone is nowhere near the face at the time. Anyone any ideas?

Just curious, did this happen everytime during call or random?

Was doing it every time...but the screen has now not come back at all since posting this query.

Screen just lit up with an incoming call. but blank yet again.

I am trying my best to understand what you have just mentioned.

Probably it is good to remove the battery, re-install it after 'awhile', then restart your phone.

If that does not work, more detail would be appreciated.

Have done all that. Removed, battery, sim. returned, battery and sim and restarted. Perhaps reinstall 2.1??

That is possibly one of the solution, hopefully it can resolved your issue completely.  Maybe it is easier to do a factory reset first?

Reinstalled 2.1 from another computer (initial computer having its own issues). Now all is ok. Thanks again.
