Bought Z1... Was Z2 worth Spending the Extra Money?

Hello everyone,

After a while of consideration I went ahead and bought the Sony Xperia Z1. However, I am starting to feel like I should have spent the extra money for the Z2 but I didn't see it really being that much better for the extra money. The only apsect of the Z2 that I like much more than the Z1 is the speaker. I didn't think the speaker of the Z1 was that bad. Does anyone feel that the Z2 is worth the extra money?

if u compare z1 vs z2 ......z2 has better display vibrant colors very good viewing angles and yes speaker is good jump sony optimized the software so well the battery life is good (it could be done in z1 if sony optimize for it too) in camera still images are the same good daylight and poor low light but in video section the 1080p/60 fps is awesome timeshift video (z1 showld have this feature) and 4k kind of gimiki right now but still its there and you get some software goodies in z2 ( btw z1 can handle all sadly sony might not give it to z1 users to sell z2 )

GSM Arena does a good job of showing the specifications on the Z2 and I will say that it is a nice piece. Unfortunately the Z2 is not available in the U.S. yet but I'm sure it will quite expensive when it gets there. The only thing that kind of bothers me about it is the size. I think the Z1 is big enough but the Z2 is even bigger. It is becoming more of a phablet than a smartphone.

z1 and z2 size is almost the same u could not find any difference sony reduced the bezels a little and added .2 inch screen

You are right. I thought with the 5.2 inch screen that the whole smartphone was just going to grow much bigger but the differences according to PhoneArena are miniscule. I can still return my Z1 and get the Z2 but I don't want to chase technology. Sony's 6 month pattern will yield a Z3 in no time.
