forgetting internet settings

Every couple of weeks my phone seems to 'forget' the internet settings, so my email doesn't get updated and apps like BBC News don't update either. I cannot even download the settings again until I get into a WiFi area. Then I download the settings and everything is fine for a couple of weeks, then, seemingly at random, the same problem occurs. Any ideas?

That sounds strange. I suggest that you order a new SIM-card from your network provider since this can be related to the SIM-card itself.
