How to switch off the ''Auto-Menu" feature?

For lack of any better word I can think of, let's call it the ''auto-menu'' feature. What I mean is in 1.6, you press the menu button to change widgets and icons and wallpaper, but now in 2.1 whenever you hold onto the screen for like 1 sec, it automatically jumps into screens or pops up options that lets you change these, depending which screen you are on. What I wish to know is if there is a way to switch this feature off? Cos some live wallpapers allow you to interact with them, and it's difficult to do this when that feature is on.

I surely understand what you mean, but unfortunately, that is not something that you could disable in your phone.

Thank you. They really should make it optional, doncha think? Slightly_smiling_Face

It's a good input actually. I'd say that it should be optional but maybe it is not convenient for the phone. That has to be determined by the developers of this handset. I could send that suggestion to see what can be done but I can't promise anything.
