Justin Timberlake, Has x10 with 2.1 on it? I FEEL BETRAYED. SE EXPLAIN

Oh, Justin Timberlake. Why does he insist on confusing us? Known BlackBerry user (plenty of photographic evidence to back this one up) JTimbs recently got our hearts all a flutter when he tweeted -- about Entourage, no less -- from the Twitter for Android app. Wait, what? Android? Yes, that's right. So, of course we've spent the last hour doing 'research' on the internet searching desperately for photographic evidence. What did we find? Just a photo culled from the top of Celebrity BlackBerry Sightings -- but this is no BlackBerry, friend. No, they've got it all wrong, if you ask us. Timberlake, known Sony spokesperson, appears to be holding an Xperia X10. Of course, that raises an even more troubling question -- Twitter for Android works only on devices with OS 2.1 and above, so the X10 running its current version of 1.6 wouldn't cut the mustard. Unless Justin is getting special treatment from Sony with an Eclair device? Our heart just skipped a beat.

Update: Just to clarify, TImberlake's tweet did not come from the X10's Timescape app. As you can see right here, those tweets are identified as coming from "Sony Ericsson X10."

[Thanks, Trucker boy]

i am confused!  on the twitter it does say xperia x10.... are we so worthless that only hot shots get special treatments?  is this why SE not bothered so much with getting 2.1?  is it because MGMT have them on their phones leaving us suffer with 1.6?

NOT HAPPY and very confused.  If they can do it on ONE phone, why don't they just give it to all phones... how hard is it?

i guess me and you are just not important.

Has anyone thought that maybe JT (as a Sony spokesperson) was given a beta version of eclair for X10 to test? Perhaps it's a form of involvement that they don't advertise. It's certainly a good idea, since a guy like JT wouldn't be afraid to criticise...

Yes, I agree. It's probably a beta version for JT to test.

On the other note, let me ask you? Do you really want them to rush the delivery? If they're not ready, chances are that the OS will be full of bugs. That's why there's Beta testing, to clear out the bugs. And they said it's coming in September. It's basically a few more weeks. Just be patient.:smileyhappy:

well its taking waaaay too much time, and when i have stars testing rather than people that could pay attention to little details, i get worried, VERY worried.  i prefer a public limited beta, that way more can test it.
