I have bought an Xperia Z a little while ago and I was just looking at the storage because it was almost full and I discoverd a programme which was called: Aura and used 4.89 GB of storage..
I cannot find any information about this on the internet so I hope you can help me, is this some kind of programme that controls the phone? Or is it a programme I can just delete?

If you think you know what this is or what I should do with it that would be awsome!

There are several apps called something with Aura in Play Store. Maybe you can find it there, if it has an icon that you can recognize? It may also be some bloatware that your network provider has installed if you have bought a branded phone.

Mmm it is not really an application I think, becuase if I open all my apps and I search: ''Aura'' the phone finds nothing. If it is 'bloatware' can I delete it because it uses almost 5 GB which looks like a lot...

where are you seeing this app exactly ?

If I go to my settings, than press storage than I see my total storage (11.73 GB) and after that I can see how much is used for: apps, pictures and video's audio, downloads and diverse. If I click the last group, diverse, the first thing is Aura and after that comes whatsapp (with 50.73MB)

I am dutch by the way, hopefully I translated everything correctly;)

I followed your path and there's no such thing as "Aura" on my Z. Mine was imported from Germany, generic global rom. Are you using a carrier customized device?

Have you tried browsing your internal storage for this file/app/folder and delete it?

Perhaps posting some screenshots here might help.

As above please do provide a screen shot so we can try to locate the application in question. However I can confirm that I am not aware of any preinstalled application by this name so I do not foresee any issue with uninstalling it.
