Repair times

can anyone tell me the average time for repairs when you send your phone back to Sony please?

i bought, not contract, from Three just under 2 months ago and they told me all my problems with the z5 sound hardware related. As such I should contact Sony to arrange for it to be repaired. As this is the only phone I have, I really cannot go without it at all tbh. Three did not care about this, I guess they just collect the cash and back away from any following problems.

Roughly a week turnaround.
Imo three could be much better and should sort this for you, but they don't because???

Repair times will vary from region to region. For the most accurate information on your locale I recommend you contact your local support team and ask them what the average turn around time is. Be aware though that there can be delays if they have to order parts, wait for post etc.

I believe the op is in UK as three UK are known for not doing anything except telling the customers to go to Sony, in my experience, the UK service centre aims for a week turnaround

You are correct I am in the UK, forgot to mention that sorry.

my problems are more or less the same as everyone else's lol

heating up within minutes of using anything on the phone

poor quality photos blurred and blue edges, that sort of thing

poor battery life

as much as I could I have tried many of the fixes mentioned within this forum, but to no effect.  The Three shop where I bought the phone said it sounded like a hardware problem, so I should contact Sony. As the phone is less than 2 months old I felt it should just have been changed within the store. I am about to start a new job, so sending my phone for repair is the last thing I wanted to do, but it looks like I have no choice.

I got my phone repaired here in UK, it took around 7 days. Have similar problems to you with the horrible camera performance from blurry photos to blue tinge edges on low light photos.
To be honest with you the repair company did nothing to fix the problem, they replaced the lense sticker that's about it. I asked them to replace the camera module because I was sure it was 100% faulty.
I received my phone back and the problem is still current, the camera is still so poor it's unbelievable how the repair company thought it was ready to ship back. The funny thing is they stated that the camera performs within the lines of the company's standards, which is an absolute joke. I upgraded to this phone from the Nexus 5 mainly because of the camera advertisement of the Z5 which is 100% false it's nowhere near being the world's best camera when it performs like a 20th century potato.

Sony just got back to me, and have asked me to run the pcc repair first and see how it goes

More or less, everyone here, have blur and blue tint !!! I don't have blur but I've got blue tint that it's SW related

For heating up ...

My phone remains very cool when I'm using it but it's clear as the sun that if u stream, talk to the phone through Skype, listen music, all together, then u can't have a frigobar Grinning_Face
