Hi, Recently I've bought Sony MDR-EX110AP headphones with mic, though the headphones are compatible with my xperia E1 but the multipurpose button is not working properly, very hard press is required to answer calls and pause/start music and double press is rarely working ( not working most of the time ), I am not able to change songs in Walkman Application using double press.
I have both Smart Connect and Smart-Key installed still the headphones are not performing properly. SInce double press is working on some occasions , I just want to know is the problem with headphones or some software issue with Phone. Thanks..
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Sorry to hear you're having problems with your headset.
As it works when you press the button very hard this sounds like an issue with the headset and not the phone. You should not have to press it hard.
I recommend that you contact your dealer or your local support team.
No I don't press the button hard , I have to keep it pressed for actions like Pause/Play or Listen to a call and Double Press or Triple press does'nt work at all.
When I customize SmartKey for buttons it works for a while i.e all actions work fine, like doube press to next Track and Triple Press to Previous track but after a while it stops to work..
What i meant is that it sounds like the button on your headset is not working properly as you wrote "very hard press is required to answer calls and pause/start music". If you need to press the button very hard to answer a call there's something wrong with the headset.
Not Hard press Its "CONTINOUS PRESS " for a second or two , Problem is temporarily solved using SmartKey but comes again. The issue is- Continous press for Pause/Calls and no double press. But double press works temporarily after configuring Smartkey but problem re occurs so I was wondering maybe it could be a software glich as headphones are New I have just bought them last night..Thanks..
Ok, then it's a bit harder to say if it's an issue with the phone or headset. Would it be possible for you to try the headset with another phone or another headset with your phone to see where the issue is?
