Hi Sony Develop.

I have ".VOB" file in my laptop and try to transfer them to my Xperia S.

Normally If I transfer the mp4, AVI or another Video format it hasn't issue but when I transfer only ".VOB" it has slow issue.

It can transfer not more then 1M per second.

I am not sure Is this the software block or anything else. I hope it will fix soon as possible.

I am very enjoy when connect your Xperia to my TV via HDMI but the issue is very long time to wait for transfer file.

(I use the software in app store to decode ".VOB" as the original movies application in ROM is not support ".VOB"

have you tried another PC ?

Sure, I try on 3 laptops.

1. my laptop use Windows 7

2. my company's laptop use Windows XP SP3

3. my friend's laptop use Windows 7

All of 3 laptops got the same issue when transfer ".VOB".

PS: When I transfer ".VOB" my Xperia said the file type is not support but I force it to transfer and it very slow.

it seems to be an Android issue, why don't you convert the files (formatfactory)?

Because I don't have the free program to convert and I am aware of the quality if I use the demo program.

I try to search the free software to convert it but I can't find.

Do you have the link to freeware converter?

When you transfer a file to your phone which is not compatible, Then the file transfer goes into convert mode using the phones built in conversion, So I'm wondering if the slow transfer speed is because it's converting as it transfers - Every Pc is my office that I connect my phone to which has no conversion programs installed asks me everytime if I want to convert - If you drop and drag the vob file a pop up box on my Pc's asks me if I want to convert if this is not happening on yours then and I'm guessing it may have been set to auto convert everytime unless it's a file format it recognises
