SONY Z3 Volume level on headphones

Hi,

im using Z3 for two years now. im having this problem from day 1.
when i plugged in my headphone defaults volume level is right in the middle of the bar. but its very low on output. i can barely hear anything. then i have to set it to max. Then only i can hear a song. But still the volume output is not the expected amount.
is there a solution for this or is it a defect of the phone. Anyone please help me. is there a solution for such scenarios?

Which headphones are you using with your phone?

As suggested by @uliwooly, could you try a different pair of headphones and see if you experience any difference? Maybe you can borrow headphones from a colleague, friend or family member.

You mention that you can only listen to 1 song, what happens after the song is done playing? Or do you mean you can only hear the song when the volume is at max?

Which applications are you using the play music? Could you please try and play a video from Youtube and see if you experience any difference in the volume?
