Unable to delete pictures from gallery (in whatsapp images) in Xperia U

Hi,

I'm unable to delete few images which were stored in whatsapp image folder in my galary for pictures which I shared through whatsapp. While I'm able to delete all other pics in the same folder, the option "delete" is missing from these pictures, I tried all options but in vain. kindly help

Have you tried connecting your phone to a computer to see if you can delete the pictures?

I connected my phone to the system, but suprisingly i'm unable to view these particular images on my system. They r only visible on my whatsapp image folder in my mobile.

Well, then it seems like these pictures are not actually stored on your phone. I'm not all sure how whatsapp works, but it seems like they are linked to a online album. It's pretty much the same thing as when you synchronize your facebook albums with with the phone. The phone will cache the pictures in albums but they're only thumbnails linked to the server where the pictures are stored, and the phone can't delete them since they are not stored on the phone itself.

Then how do I delete the pictures? I'm unable to do so since many days.

Well, you could try clearing data for the Whatsapp-app in Settings > Apps if they are stored by the app itself.

Go to the chat history were u chatted wd that person wd whum u sahred ur dirty pictures and clear conversation

Using this image processing library, you are able to add new image, delete unwanted image and process the image easily.
