Video freezes while audio continues while the data mobile is on

Hello, i bough the xperia z3+ few weeks ago, and from the moment i bought it i cannot play video on it, the image freezes but the sounds continue normally, i went back to the store and they took it for 10 days and give it back with the same problem and they said they didnt find anything, i did everything from clearing catches, restore, software update, factory reset, nothing works i still cannot play downloaded videos or YouTube or even facebook videos!! Please help

Hi,

Is this only related to videos that you have downloaded or from streaming functions such as YouTube? Do you experience this behaviour for videos that you have recorded with the camera function?

Yes i experienced this with any video i play, i did not record any video using this phone yet, but i experienced this with videos recorded by other phones send to me, or downloaded videos, YouTube or whenever i try to play a video

One more thing, this happens when the data mobile is ON when it is off i van watch downloaded videos with no problems.

How do you mean by downloaded videos? Have you moved them from a PC to your internal storage/SD-card? Could you record a video with the camera function and play it to see if same behaviour appear when mobile data is ON?

Just recorded a 30 sec video it worked fine, by downloaded videos i mean movies ive downloaded from browser, they worked fine with other phones.

Since a recorded video works fine, it does not sound like an issue with your phone. It can either be your connection (while streaming), have you tried different network connections, for example a Wi-Fi connection? Regarding the downloaded videos, it may be the format of the video that is causing this behaviour. Have you tried different apps for video playback such as MX Player or VLC?

I have the same issue on my new z3+. i use the same micro sd card that i was using on my previous phone (a Sony SP) which holds video files plus i stream youtube videos and am using the standard video player and mx player. the issue is the same: the video sporadically stops playing during playback but the audio continues
I had not realised there was a link with mobile data being on but if that is the case it does seem to be a major flaw.
is there a fix coming or work around other than not having the mobile data on?

I have same lag prob on my Phone, found that setting mobile network to GSM only reduce lag when playing vids
