w595 camera problem

I dropped my w595 sony ericsson phone and then the camera stopped working (the screen blacked out) and then after a short while(4hrs) it started working again, and then it stopped, it sort of comes and goes, is it possible that it will eventually stop working? what could be the problem? how can i fix it??

Thanks a lot, peace Slightly_smiling_Face

Well it's pretty obvious that this is the result of dropping it, so it's up to you whether you want to send it for repair.

First, thank you for your replay. Well i can't send the phone to be fixed because am in another country ( Ethiopia).. but i really would like to know if it is going stop working or will eventually come bak to normal, because the lens obviously is not broken ( since it worked afterwards). besides, i am saying this because, it happened once that the camera wouldn't even open( this time i didn't drop it) and then after a while it just started working!! i wonder if the phone has a built in recovery system or something Slightly_smiling_Face that is why i feel positive that it would just become normal, is that possible? Can you please give me some tips to how i can fix it, may be upload a specific software??

Thank you,

Try updating/re-installing the software via PC and/or use phone repair via PC suite. If the camera continues to have a problem after this, then it is most probably a hardware problem because you dropped it and there's no software that can fix this.

well this is what happened today, i blew into the lens inside the slide through the crack of the slide and it worked!!! it stayed for like five hours and then it went blank again, so i tried blowing  in to it and then it worked again!!, so it looks like it is a dust problem, or is it?? if it is how can i clean it up better??

Perhaps this was just coincidence: give it some time and see whether the period of time for which the camera remains functional varies according to the remedy, or indeed if there is any significant difference in the outcome between a perceived remedy and none at all.

Thank you, i will definately follow up on that. I have one question though, does that mean it is not a hardware problem?

Since this problem arose after you dropped it, it is more than likely a sign of physical damage which cannot be repaired with software updates.
