Why U series mobile phones (U1, U5, U8) calls can only display caller ID, and caller's name can't be displayed？

Hey @bclerdx, I would like you to check with your service provider (operator) because these phones do show the caller's name if you have it stored in your phone. Please try to save a phone number of a friend with the name only and no picture. Then call yourself from his/her phone and check what it says.

You mean I understand that my network operators to provide caller ID services, may be I have not expressed clearly, I mean if I have contact phone book (name + telephone number), what are the reasons will cause incoming calls can only display the caller number, and can not display the caller's name. I understand that for several reasons:

1. I heard Symbian system, this problem is the original design.

2. That is when the book has two or more of the same phone number, and name the same or not this phenomenon occurs at the same time.

3. When the address book display the phone contacts and SIM card contacts, and 2 are the same phenomenon also occurs.

If the problem persists after the update, you need to reply back with your location so that I can send you to the proper local support to have it checked by a qualified technician.
