I have read the warranty but it's rather vague, in short I don't want to ship my device off to have them deny it and make me pay £20 to get it back. It's a waste of their time + my time and money.
I have asked this somewhere else so I'm just going to paste what I said there, why retype it right..
"My sony xperia z2 freezes quite frequently (perhaps 5 times a week), it's fully up to date and I've tried the repair option as recommended by sony support. This was no help.
I wasn't too bothered, I'm pretty lax when it comes to that sort of stuff, but today I got home and the sim/charger port cover has gone, it must have fell off somewhere.
The device is less than a month old and is still under warranty, I was wondering if either of my issues are covered by the warranty? I was thinking if the freezing issue is, maybe they'll be nice and throw in the port cover whilst they fix it.
If I send it for repair and they say it isn't covered I face a ~£20 fee to get my device back, but I could just have purchased the cover from ebay for £6 (but I worry about that as these covers are what make the phone 'waterproof' so using some chinese knock off isn't ideal in my eyes)."
Thanks in advanced
if your have dropped the port cover it is not something that will hinder sony to open set.
but be sure that water did not enter the phone because it could be a cause of freeze in such case. if you are sure water has not entered phone then there is no harm sending it in. but before sending it in. remove unnecessory applications or games and try. if it do not work then reset the phone to factory setting and try and if it is still same send it in.
