My Xperia Z3 Compact's headphone socket started to fail... next went the earphone speaker so i could hardly hear anyone calling me even on max volume.

Since this is a Global user based forum I am not able to assist you with this specific case. I suggest getting in touch with your Local support to be assisted, since local consumer laws, service routines, warranty terms and service handling varies depending on the market.
Oh I have got in touch with UK support, numerous times.
Just keep telling me that the part they need to repair the phone still hasn't arrived.
Do they get parts/components delivered by horse and cart? Maybe by carrier pigeon? Oh no wait... both those wouldn't take over 2 weeks to deliver!
I understand your frustration but unfortunately I do not have any information as to how service cases are handled in your local market. It's best to bring it up with the local team once again if you would like to know how such cases are handled.

Mine was received by UK support on 5th September and still haven't had mine repaired either.
Have escalated and been told I would get a call from the management team to update me on progress. As there has never been any communication from Sony I have to keep making weekly phone calls. These don't make any difference either, you just get told that they are sorry and sympathise but they haven't got any spares for the Z3 compact.

My phone is broken as well. Back-home-recent buttons, the one after the other stopped working.
The phone is not even 1,5 years old and still under warranty. I've sent it in for repairs, but is now already 2 weeks "waiting for parts to arrive".
The local retailer where I bought the phone already warned me about Sony's warranty repair service. They tell me it can still take a long time.

I'm also waiting for two weeks for a part. That is really poor service. Waiting for spar part en then waiting to be repaired.
I can't remember to wait so long for a product!!!!!!
Sony Care less for the expensieve phones. Apple cares. they repair it in the shop

I am really sorry about that, but considering that this is a Global user based support forum; I am not able to assist you with a local case such as this. My recommendation is that you raise this with your Local support, they are well informed regarding the local routines in your markets.
My Z3 Compact's touchscreen started to fail under warranty. I contacted with Sony Care on August 17th. On August 22th the technical support received the phone, Today is 14th October and I have no news from my phone. Anytime I try to contact Sony they tell me they're working on it. But no info on when o why. Have you lost it? Or the support people work that bad? Shame on you, Sony. This is by far the worst support I've found in years. Never again I will buy a Sony phone.
Of course, no need to tell me this is a global site, and you can't tell me about my case. In my local support site can't tell me, anyway. This message is just a warning for users and future buyers. Beware!
