Hi,

I have successfully upgrated my XPeria Go to Jelly Bean and I'm facing a big problem with phone calls :

After dialling and pressing "call", the phone is completely frozen ! It remains frozen from several seconds to about 1 minute !! During this time I have no information about the call setup progress. The call can be established, and the celled party can talk "alone" : I'm not able to know when the call is established and to hear him speaking !!! Then, my phone is no more usable !!!!

I don't know if anyone has already experienced this problem ...

Just wanted to give my 2 cents of opinion...

Why stay on the stock called app? Have you guys tried the Dialer + and Contacts + App?? No?? Then what in the heck are you waiting for?! Go goooo!

It's very funny that everytime I plugged my phone in Flashtool to downgrade and plugged out,everything becomes normal for couple of days after that it becomes faulty again and i just repeated the process.lol

That's no use, mad. I tried it. All dialer replacement apps still rely on the stock dialer to make or take the actual call. It's the system file regulating the calling that causes the lag (we think), (custom) dialers are just a skin on top of it. They can only make it slower or have no effect at all really.

Then how come this happens? :

Tried to compare between Stock Dialer App and Dialer+ and there was a 4 second difference.

Opened the stock dialer (waited for 5 seconds then it opened) vs. Dialer+ (waited for 1 SECOND!!).

As the difference was huge, for me, I thought it could help but... I was wrong, my bad! Still sticking with Dialer+ though! ;D

Did you make a call too?

I'm not saying it's impossible that an alternative app can work (a little) faster, it's just technically pointless the way I see it. It might be a placebo or the fact that you already started the stock dialer prior to Dialer+ kept it loaded in memory. We could use a developer here to give us more insightfulness of the technical capabilities.

To make an objective test, we would need two devices with the exact same hardware and app setup (with only the dialer being different) and operate them simultaneously. I'll try playing with alternative dialers too.. you never know

Ultimately, the point is that there's something wrong in Sony's rom and they should fix it!

Yes, just compared both with calls, there are differences, no Placebo here...

Btw, my gf has still ICS on her XGO, we compared both on Antutu Bench, JB: 5606 vs ICS: 5182 ;D

I have the same problem, it is unacceptable that the mobile phone does not do what it was made for.
Even more amazing is that no return of sony.
