Hi, I own an Xperia P devide running Android 4.1.2 and lately I noticed my battery drains faster than ever and triggering stamina mode won't make any difference, not even in the menu where it usually estimates 2-3 times better lifetime upon engaging stamina mode.
I have had a look over the battery use and this is what I have found:
I would like to know if there is any fix for this or if anyone else encountered this before?
On a separate note, I am the kind of guy who keeps his phone clean of any useless apps and always turns off any app from the task manager before locking the phone....which means I am sure there is nothing running in the background or for no reason.
Any help would be apreciated.
Hmm, how about you post a screenshot of your battery precentage chart. Let me see if Android OS takes higher figure than screen. And how about the screen consumption? How long does it time on?
Right now I don't have my own phone, just a replacement they gave me - an Xperia S.
I see, well you could post the screenshot when you get back your Xperia P. Good luck, let me know if you need help
There are already two screenshots from my P model in the previous pages of this post.
The very first one is from when I noticed the problem and the second one (green theme) is 3 days after I made a software repair/update using the PC companion.
You should read the previous posts in this thread, I went over how I use my phone etc
What I mean is when you turn your phone into GSM mode only, compared to WCDMA.
This is after a day of using GSM only. This model is extremely anoying as I can't open the task manager by holding down the home button... Anyways the screen turn on is about 15 minutes
I have started experiencing the heavy battery drain since last 3 months and realized that the Android OS drains over 30% (almost 40% actually) of the battery. I read all the previous replies about the topic and decided to try to install the firmware again last Friday. Everything was ok until today. For the first two days the battery drain was really satisfying and the Android OS only needed max 15%. But since this morning it started to float above 30% and the battery draind as fast as before. I have the last possible android version for the Xperia P and as far as the apps concerned I have been using the same apps all the time (such as twitter, facebook, whatsapp, instagram, dropbox ).
What should I do now?
Regards
