XPERIA P Not charging

My Xperia P not able to use. Charging Percentage is not increasing after 1.

Does the handset give any indication of charging at all such as the battery icon animating etc?

Red light LED is coming up while charging the phone. After sometime the charging icon is shown from there able to switch on the phone but charging is not complete to 100%. I have charged my phone to more than 8 hours but it charged only 1%.

Your handset may need to go for repair; however it would be worth attempting a firmware repair (it may not let it run due to the low battery indication):

1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps

my xperia p ran out of battery. i connect the charger but it didn't charge. it's led light also didn't turn on

it turned on iwas searching the problem in internet .i find a glitch that press your volume up key and power button. it worked.
