Hi all,
This is my first post so hello to everyone.
This is also my first smartphone and up until now I have not had any problems.
I took a 12 minute 4K video the other day which is showing in my album but when I come to transfer it to my PC using the Sony Companion software I cannot find it anywhere.
I looked for it on the internal memeory and it only displays photos - no video.
I then bought a 128 GB SD card and transferred everything onto that, went back on the pc software but again the video is not displayed in the DCIM files.
I have done a search using windows on both internal memory and SD card and nothing comes up for the file name.
I can view the video on the phone and the details say it is on the SD card and give a full filename and pathway but as I said nothing comes up on a search.
Why would this be?
The file is 4.5GB in size but I didn't think that would be relevant.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
Giles
Has the recording ended? I find it pretty large 12 min on 4K.
Hi Alexdon,
I'm not sure I undersatnd what you mean.
The recording has ended, I recorded it on Saturday night and have been trying to get it off the phone since then.
It is a large file like I said - 4.5GB
The issue is that none of my recorded videos are being displayed in the data transfer software/file manager but the video is definitely on the SD card.
Sd card > DCIM > 100ANDRO > you should be able to see it here
Do you have an adapter so you can connect the microSD directly?
Its not there.
I have done a search for the file using windows and it does not find it or any other MP4s on the sd card or internal memory.
The video IS on the card though because I can view it on the phone
???
are you on a PC or Mac?
open the video (play it) >while the video play tap on the icon to minimize the video > it will show you the path
Do you have file commander? Use it.
I don't have an SD card slot on my PC.
I'm using XP SP3, would that be relevant?
hat do you mean by file commander?
