Android open accessory 2.0

Can anyone tell me if the xperia xz3 supports android open accessory 2.0 (AOA 2.0)?

I'm trying to connect a Sony car stereo head unit via USB that supports AOA 2.0 and listen to Spotify but so far have been unsuccessful.

Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Hi @Chriscat1, welcome to our forum!

Xperia devices without a 3.5mm audio jack do not support the AOA Audio protocol and the Xperia XZ3 does not have a audio jack and that is why you aren't able to use this in your car.

Does the stereo head unit support Bluetooth? If it does, you can try and connect it via Bluetooth instead.

I hope that answers your question!

Hi and thanks for the reply.

That's starting to make sense now as I can play other music files stored in the phone as if it were a USB stick but Spotify will not.

Thanks for your help with this.
