Apps icon dissappeared

As of a day or two ago my Apps shortcut on my home screen has dissappeared and I cannot get it back. This makes it difficult to access certain apps. I have XZ Premm.

@PaulDH have you tried swiping up over the wallpaper? also, in order to bring the button back, long press on an empty space on your homescreen, then choose Settings, and disable a toggle named "Hide Apps icon".
