I can't register my Fingerprint on sony Xperia xz

When I try to register my Fingerprint a message appear to me says that 

Fingerprint enrollment time limit reached

The finger print is show on sitting but most of the time dont show any finger print in sitting   when the finger print is show on sitting when i want set my finger on scaner promptly show a massage and eror. And when i lock the screen and when i set my finger on scaner show a massage //the finger print hardware not available //

I also try this :

1-update the android but not ok

2- falsh the phone by flash tools and box using Android 6./7.1/. 8 but not ok

3-factory reset but not ok

4-repair but app of sony but when the download of rom ok when i connecte my phone to laptop show a error and canceled

5- at the last open the phone and change the flat of the finger print but also not ok

I really sad please helppppp

Hi again @Xperiax1996 and thank you for this information.

In this case, I would recommend that you get in touch with your Local support team so they can arrange a repair for you, as the device will need to be examined at an authorized service centre.

If you have any questions regarding warranty, local service routines and so forth, they will answer this for you as well.

Hello there. My situation is kinda more complicated. I have set the fingerprint one year and never had any kind of problem. I have updated over 2 months ago and didn't dmface any problem. Suddenly  without any kind of security changes the fingeprint setup disappeared! In one night. I tried set up a new one and got the message in the screenshot. This message appears just before the setup ends, in the last touch usually. I have created 2 users, in the second one the fingerprint manager is working just fine! Same mobile  different users.... Very very very bad support, it's a software problem but sony can't solve it!!!!

6 month i have this problem,

Recently sony update the support app and add fingerprint test, it's show fingerprint is OK, but in the truth it's not working and show this massage in a Screenshot

I test also second user, in second user it's work for a day and then again show this message,

I hope this is a software problem but nobody can't solve it, whyyyy??????

The error is

Can't read your fingerprint 

Registration will be canceled since fingerprint enrollment time limit reached

Follow the registration instruction and try again

Got same when added second profile - for unlocking main profile it just told me "fingerprint hardware not available", while still working on locking up second profile. Deleted second profile, but same. Deleted all fingerprints in main profile, but now in the very end of adding new fingerprint I get this enrollment timeout error. Sensor test OK.

It seems like alot of  sony Xperia phone users are having the same problem including me Xperia z5 premium , and sony so doing nothing about that yet , this company need to  send update to fix this stupid  problem , why there is no one From supervisors or technical support did send a ticket at least   , sony was my favourite company but now i had to say this  i brought the phone with fingerprint and i got one year with that and two years without fingerprint because of stupid bug that need a simple update , shame on you sony .

All of my phone went sony,i love sony very much,but for this problem i  hate sony, many users have this problem and sony is just relax!!!!!  I buy the phone for fingerprint and its security,but manay months i don't have it ,and forced to use pattern!!!

I bilive sony can't solve this software problem

If you have done previous troubleshooting that I have posted in this thread, there is a hardware fault with the sensor and the device will need to be examined at an authorized service centre. Your Local support team will assist you further with this, so get in touch with them.

@Xperiax1996, hi again.

Did you follow my advice that I gave you back in February about having the device sent to an authorized service centre? If you did, how did it work out for you?

Actually I did follow all the advices that given before .

The fingerprint sensor is working like one day every 3 month or something like that so its not a hardware problem its a software one ,  In my country we don't have  Local support team  so that option is not realy in the list , as i said its a software program and y...

Hi again @sammonther,

If no Local support is available in the country where you are situated, please get in touch with the retailer that sold you the device and ask how you can have it repaired.

You can of course try and perform a software repair using Xperia Companion if you haven't done that, but if it still doesn' work, a technician will need to examine the device.
