Hi,
I keep getting a notification message from Xperia Intelligence engine:
"Functionality restricted
This affects to Side sense functionality. Tap here to get more information."
(translated from Finnish so can be a bit different)
The message pops up approx. every second day and it cannot be dismissed e.g. swiped off from screen. The only way to get if off is to reboot phone or clear data in Intelligent engine settings.
However, this notification does not seem to affect to any funtionality in phone, but of course if int.eng. has some limitations in its work, user maybe cannot see it.
I've tried to set all those rights which int.eng. asks by tapping the notification and checking the rights the engine requires. Only restrictions I have set are the Side sense blockings of a couple of app's like games. But that's what xperia suggests and I don't think it can be an issue here.
I use a style touch cover. I wonder if Ingelligence engine does not work properly with it, so, that could be one possible reason for this.
Any suggestions to get rid of the notification?

Hi,
Now it seems that I figured out myself what you have to do to prevent the "functionality restricted" notification popping up repeatedly a couple of times in a week.
Normally I don't use wifi. Now I turned wifi on - it has been on since yesterday - and noticed that the notification disappeared ca. 1hr after wifi was enabled. And has not reappeared since. I will keep now Wi-Fi ON and wait a couple of days to see if it really was the solution. I will report it here.
I understand that when wifi is on, Xperia Intelligence engine can possibly get more accurate location, but it should not be forced, because also GPS (if ON) and cell towers give enough signals to determine the phone location. So, I suggest that user should be able to choose if wifi is used or not for Intelligence engine location purposes. For myself, keeping wifi always on is not a problem. For someone else it good be.

Hi,
After Wi-Fi ON for five days, no more mentioned notifications have appeared. I will now consider this as a solution for the problem.
